So, I recently made the decision to head back to Japan in October. Although I'll be stopping in Tokyo for quite awhile, I plan to move back to Osaka... The more "comfortable" city for myself.
Before I made the decision to head there, I sent some messages out to some close friends in the High End Automobile sales and collection industry. My goal? To round up as many private, quiet setting photo shoots with rare, desirable, high end exotica, before I get there.
I'm sure some of you know that I've been there before quite a few times. The last time I went, I did photo shoots with the following cars:
Ferrari F40
Lamborghini Countach LP400
Ferrari Enzo
McLaren MP4/4 #12
Nissan Skyline BNR34 GT-R V-Spec II Nür
Nissan Skyline BNR34 GT-R V-Spec II N1
Nissan Skyline KPGC110 GT-R
Mazda RX-7 FD3S Spirit R
And many other highly modified cars...

For 2014/2015, so far I've got lined up:
McLaren F1
Toyota 2000GT
Ferrari 275GTB/4 Cam
Porsche 964 Turbo "Blackbird"
Lamborghini Miura SV
BMW M1 ProCar
Mercedes Benz 300SL
Honda NSX-R
... And some "Mid Night" member cars.
———————-
So I ask everyone here, what cars would you like to see shot?
My style for photography is very somber - I try to do few action shots, and I arrange for the owners of the cars to choose a nice setting where the car can be prominently displayed, devoid of any other "distractions".
So go ahead! Give me some ideas of what to photo shoot next, and I'll let you know what I can do, and I'll definitely be sharing the shots with Oppo and Jalopnik.

You should meet up with Gimmi and check out his Super 7, Mercedes Diesel that runs on fry oil, and all his other sick cars.

I've shot clean Hachi's before. I wouldn't mind doing the Veilside Fortune FD... But I think the IDx Concept would be tricky, because getting Nissan to drag one out just for one photographer to shoot for 2 or 3 hours isn't easy.

I spent a year in Nagoya. hated the place, but I get the attraction to Osaka. All the advantages of Tokyo minus the pretense. Check out Yokohama if you can. It's more laid back than Tokyo. I go over there every other year or so. It's my second home.

I DEFINITELY plan on doing a test drive and photo shoot of a Mitsuoka Orochi (As much as I dislike it... I also kind of have an odd attraction to it).

Capture all the Eunos Cosmo!
Seriously. I'm really love that thing. Hell, i might import them one day.
*On an unrelated note, how much was the Eunos in japan?

Tokyo is too sterile. I love Yokohama and Chiba, but once I get into the core of Shibuya or what have you, I get the creeps... It feels almost like a movie in how lifeless it is.
I like Osaka because it's grungy, gritty, and wild... It reminds me a lot of Toronto and New York.

have you posted the pictures from previous shoots? I'd love to check them out, looks like you've photographed some awesome stuff.

Eunos was a sub brand of Mazda, so dependant on which car you bought, the prices varied.
Back in the day, a Cosmo was about $45,000USD (About $62,000 in today's money).
A Roadster was about $16,000USD ($19,000 in today's money).
And the rest of the brand was primarily inexpensive.
I'm a big fan of Efini over Eunos myself. But the real gold mine was Autozam... They had me at "Konnichiwa!!!" with their little AZ-1.

Modified Toyota Chaser Tourer V!
Also, I'm very jealous of you. I would love to visit, or even better live in, Japan.

And i wonder if they still had a used one as well..
I've been talking with my friend who work for customs here in Indonesia, and he said nobody have import the Cosmo yet, so i really interested of importing one.
I also love that Autozam. I guess when i get bigger house i'll import them as well.

Yeah, there are some strange things going on there. Here, this is roaming the streets of Tokyo that you may find interesting. I'm sure there is a guy in a suit just as shiny that owns it. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=27…
Oh yeah, the food in Osaka....Almost worth going there. How is your Osaka-ben?
